In June and July 2026, the Jean Monnet EU-CV Module (2023–2026) hosted a series of international conferences and special sessions, thereby completing another stage of the activities planned under the Module. The events addressed a range of topics connecting the European Union and Cabo Verde. In total, six panels were held, covering issues encompassed by the European Union-Cabo Verde Special Partnership, with contributions from national and international experts.

The initiative provided a valuable opportunity for in-depth exchange on issues of common interest to the partners and was conducted in both in-person and online formats. Representatives from a wide range of public and private institutions took part in the activities, including the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, Ombudsman’s Office, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Judicial Police, National Commission for Human Rights and Citizenship, among others. The initiative also brought together academics, researchers, students, NGOs, and civil society.

The inaugural conference of the series also provided an opportunity for assistant judges who were, at the time, undertaking training at the Centre for Judicial Studies (CEJ) in Lisbon to participate remotely, as part of the partnership established between the ISCJS Research Centre and the CEJ’s Department of International Relations.
